< junior.klegseth /> front end + user interface

I am a front end / user interface developer with fifteen years experience across diverse projects. I'm a passionate developer who marries a desire for perfection with an understanding for the need to be practical, and a creative problem solver who embraces ideas and debate.

About

I hack up PSDs and turn them into websites. I sweat over pixels, bemoan browser inadequacies, refactor my code. I celebrate things like box shadows, media queries and File API.

I develop user interfaces through prototyping, feedback and iteration, striving for simplicity and clarity.

Alter Egos

So many lives to live and only one lifetime to live them...

The Writer
I have a degree in English - Creative Writing, so if you ever want a room cleared I can start talking literary critical theory. Meanwhile, my three mystery novels continue to gather rejection notices and I am at work on the fourth. Several pieces of my experimental short fiction have been published. For the daring soul you can see those pieces and more here (may offend some).

The Singer/Songwriter

Long Way Home is, more than anything else, an homage to the small Minnesota town I grew up in and the songs I listened to as a child that shaped my life to come. It was a dream come true to make this album (yes, even with this voice!), a dream made better by my friends who helped me realize it. Rock!

You can listen to samples and buy Long Way Home at: Amazon.com | CDBaby | iTunes

The Bluesman
Long ago and far away there was The RedHot Blues, touring the western U.S. in a Ford Econoline with no air conditioning, with unforgettable tours to the Balkans, Japan and Iraq in support of our troops.
